about

This was the first and only release for the Gorman & Poorman Foundation. The location of only a handful of the actual records are known, as the band and the label lost touch soon after.

Many cassette versions of this release exist because the band had a spot on the Wilkes-Barre Hardcore Fest in 1999 and the records weren't yet back from the pressing plant. Those cassettes had a red cover with the same art as the vinyl (seen here on this page) and promised the buyer a 7" when they were ready. The band apologizes for not coming through on their end of that promise.

The band was invited out to the Wilkes-Barre fest that year because the folks that ran it were actually going to put out the next Psara release (which never happened). They ran the label Keystone-Ember, who put out some great records of the time (Mid Carson July, the Jazz June, Bedford).

These songs were written with the classic demo lineup, but Andrew departed to focus on Piebald before recording them. Grant Paquin joined the band and played bass on the recording and played a couple shows but was soon after replaced by Tim Peters on bass.

That lineup (Jared, Mike, Rob, & Tim) went on to form the band KMKZ, who later morphed into the long lived Taxpayer.
